Our wedding was in a park. As the number of guests increased, we knew our one-speaker sound system wasn't going to work. Plus, we had no way to run electricity. True DJs was one of the best things that could've happened. They helped us figure out how to get a wireless speaker system, brought along the lapel mic, and made the event work without any stress on us. It was stress free...from choosing the music to exiting the park. Michael sat down with us at the beginning and talked everything over. By the time the wedding rolled around, the music was like clockwork. Very thankful we had such a great DJ to make it all work.

Michael Roos was both our DJ and officiant. I couldn't have dreamed of a better scenario. When we met Michael to go over the music side of things, we shared how much trouble we were having finding an officiant we meshed with. Without hesitation, he offered to play both roles. We were thrilled. Although it was our first meeting, it felt like we were hanging out with a lifelong friend. Planning was so easy. He understood our musical taste and worked with us to come up with the best playlist for the biggest day of our lives. The energy was perfection. Michael Roos is truly a master! He exceeded our expectations in every way. Plus he is a really nice, sweet and cool guy! The planning process was a breeze. Michael is detailed and organized. He got to know our music preferences and offered suggestions that were spot on. He took the time to research and collect music that would be a good fit for our personalities and our guests. He worked with us and our wedding planner to make sure all of the most important cues of the wedding worked logistically in the space, offering advise and paying special attention to the details I cared about most. We didn't give him much guidance for the reception music and didn't come to him with a playlist of do's and don't's. In meeting with him we trusted that he knew what we would like and be able to read the crowd. And we were right. The songs he found to play during dinner had people singing and dancing in their seats. He blew us away with his ability to read the crowd on the dance floor and played a great mix of new and old songs that multiple generations could dance to. We got so many compliments on his emcee abilities and song choices. He truly made our wedding special and an absolute blast!!

In a nutshell, the value significant exceeded the cost. Micheal was geniunely as invested in making our day special as we were and it made our lives so much easier. We would highly recommend Micheal! Start to finish, working with Micheal was by far the least stressful part of our wedding planning. My finance (now wife) found him online and we coudn't meet for the standard intro meeting, so he invited us to one of his sets at Capital Pub. We got a great feel for what he liked to play, how he worked and interacted with the crowd. We chatted with him for a few, set up a future meeting, but we pretty sure he was our guy. The planning process was very simple, we told him what we were interested in, what we liked to hear, what our guest like, etc. He shared with us his philisophy, his contigency plans in case something went wrong on the day of wedding, put together some info with on the spot song suggestions (guy's got quite the mental music catalog) and some other thoughts on the day. He worked great with the caterer, venue, photographer, etc and kept the show moving and the party going. He kept everyone engaged, from the young to the old and it was great mix. He arrived early and prepared and stayed late with us. We wanted to reception to feel like a party for everyone and Michael hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Micheal and highly recommend his services!

Michael was amazing to work with. We booked him more than a year before our wedding date and he would contact us periodically during our engagement to see how we were and to see if we needed his help in any way. The wedding reception was more than I could ever imagine! He kept people dancing the entire night. Even my 92 year old grandfather was dancing. The one thing I told him when we met is that I didn't want people to leave our reception because it was boring or lame... well.. at 11:15pm we made our exit and there were still over 150 people going strong! He is not only professional and extremely talented, he is also a very nice guy. Having attended friends' weddings and seen lackluster DJs who were uninterested, lazy, who made little attempts to actually mix songs and ignored the couples' requests, my wife and I were determined to find a real DJ for our wedding. We got a referral to True DJs from a good friend - a well known professional in another city. It was obvious from the start that True DJs is a professional shop. The policy is for the DJ to show up two hours before the show, and to have a backup DJ and backup equipment on call in case of any equipment breakdowns or personal emergencies. The DJ spent a good deal of time helping us plan the timeline of our event as well as making many good suggestions about song selection. He also visited the venue with us to make further suggestions and get a feel for the layout. On the night of our wedding, he executed our plan flawlessly and with flexibility. His set was clean and exciting, and it flowed very well. His actual mixing was spot on. People were very excited to dance. We took care ahead of time to book the venue past their normal closing hours, hoping that we could keep the party going late. We were unsure if people would stick around, but the DJ's excellent set kept them till the end. We danced late into the night. Throughout the event, I couldn't help but notice a number of our family and friends approaching the DJ - not to make requests, but to ask for his contact information, because they were all very impressed and wanted to keep his name for their future events. We couldn't have been happier with True DJs, and our friends and family all had great things to say about our DJ.

We have a very mixed crowd at our events and he always knows just what to play. I never have to worry about making a playlist. He has a great personality and does very well at being an MC. Michael is awesome! From every part of the planning phase he was there, organized, and ready to go. We never once felt overcharged or under delivered (which is saying A LOT in the wedding industry!). In my opinion they are way more than just Dj's, it was like having another wedding coordinator there! It was so nice to not have to worry about if they were going to do a good job or not.
